Just a little question concerning the Build 12 installation troubles for `Euro-versions`: Why is this such a problem? The Build 11 installer immediately worked. Is it because in the new installer, the ENGINE.exe isn't added? If so, couldn't that file be added to the installer and be done with the troubles?

Hi everyone!

I tried 12 and it did not work (Black screen thing). I´ve read lots of good advice here <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> , but I CANT find build 11 anywhere to download.
There are a few post concerning this and lots of other advice for them,too. But I just don´t find Build 11 anymore and nothing helped.

I would like to play with Build 12 but the current version does not work for me (german eurp. version ubisoft).

@RobinB: What do you mean by "Ubisoft" version? The Ubisoft exclusive (blue box)?

No, it´s not a blue box. But it says UbiSoft on the CDs as well as on the manual and on the box.
For support it also gives the URL 'fluchderkaribik.ubisoft.de'

Is that (box colour <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="8)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> ) important?

Hello

After spending 45 minutes to result in the black screen of death and uselessness for version 12 of the pirates of the carribean mod.

I came here seeking help, after reading the solution provided by that iltalien fella, I tried the same thing, installed version 11 then followed by 12 with seperate bache files etc.

Although, while I had version 12 installed, i could still view my f2 and f1 menus, seein what i had here including the main menu of the game, advertising this site and the modificaters, ive noticed a few changes in the solution provided.

What i have is nothing like version 12, although i followed the instructions, when i completed them, im still coming up with version 11, meanin the main title screen says sea dogs 2, i cant change clothes, the ability to save the game is gone, Although im perfectly happy with this mod, after seeing 12, im wanting to try it.

can anyone explain my problem or offer a solution or show me what ive done wrong?

Well, I've just signed up to also verify the method described by the Italian person. Once again I shall terrorize the seven seas, but now I get to do it with new ships chuck full of rum and wheat.

Mobius, did you remember to copy and launch that runme.bat file from the build11 directory to the PotC directory?

Personally, I already had installed the build12 (horrible black screen included), but there have been no trouble with it so far what with all the different build copying.
