Need Help POTC question

i got the orriginal POTC when it first came out, and played it for a while then removed it from my old PC and when i did that it corrupted a file or something, cuz when installed it on my new pc it wouldnt even install, it shows up on my programs but cant remove it from control panel-uninstall programs. ill have to get my PC cleaned for that then and buy a new copy of POTC. my question is do i have to have the 2003 orriginal game for the Mods?

You definitely do need the original game, I'm afraid. We might be able to figure something out for you.
Do you have the installed files still anywhere at all? On your old computer, for example? You could work from that.

In what way would the game not install from your discs? What installation error do you get?
I wonder if there might be any way to get around that too.
