Played PotC 2-3 years ago <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

with 1.5 patch only it's necessary to remove StarForce?

POTC does not come with starfart

and instructions for removing StarFart from AOP 1.5 are posted in this forum

Much has changed with the Builds... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

This, however, is the AoP section of the forum. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

So, to answer the original question, I prefer the Supermod. There are bugs with both the Supermod and the official version 1.50; Supermod effectively goes back to version 1.41, fixes some of the bugs that version 1.50 fixed, leaves a couple in place, fixes a few more and adds a few more. So as far as reliability is concerned, there's not much to choose between them. But the Supermod lets you go for a walk in the jungle, as well as opening up a few buildings.

That's odd, that's precisely my assessment of POTC

or rephrased,

AOP has POTC envy.

Where can i get POTC mod for the game? What features does that mod have? What do i need to do in order to install this mod?

I currently have SuperMod w/ all the updates install on mine.

but you apply it to POTC and not to AOP.

Just to tidy things up, you sell AOP on eBay. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

and build mod 13 has every thing that AOP only dreams about . . .
Including jungle adventures, treasure quests, undead opponents (some areas), phantom ships, even more side quests and just to add insult to injury, a complete main quest.

Edit: Dang! See i dont have POTC. I am guessing you mean THIS POTC?
<a href="http://pirates.bethsoft.com/firstsite/main.html" target="_blank">http://pirates.bethsoft.com/firstsite/main.html</a>

If so, i cant find a blasted place to buy it aint. I havent checked Ebay, which i know will have it... But, i would much rather buy it from a Gaming site that i am signed up for, and can get loads of discount for. lol im cheap, aint i? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bird.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yoho" border="0" alt="bird.gif" />

the way they are so enthousiastic about the original game on that site makes me grin. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

They'd get much less sales if they weren't... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

yeah, good point. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> but it was more because i looked at what they said it was in comparison to what it really was.

Supermod with all the updates installed properly doesn't crash <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I've played supermod for hours without a crash. I think what may be causing people strife with it is that once you install AOP you must then goto AOP folder right click it, properties and get rid of read only on allt he files. You CANNOT install any Akella patches or this will ruin the supermod which contains all akella patch fixes but without the bugs that the patches bring.

So, clean Install of AOP
Remove Read Only on AOP folder and subfolders and files
Install supermod
Install supermod updates 1,2,3,4,5 (however many there are I forget)
all in sequence

and then booting up supermod should give you crash free AOP!

i cant wait until the build mod bridges over to AoP, or a new AoP build mod with the new features and stuff created for PoTC

actually what id like to see is a PoTC combo mod that adds the PoTC game islands, locations, weapons and chars to maybe one of the upper or lowere corners of the map.
