pretty good non-unique ships because of random stats

I did got smth. that can compete in my opinion with CinqueLiagas and with Dutchman.At least in some circumstances I would pick this ship.
Instead of Dutchman.

with speed & manevrability upgraded, I have yet to upgrade hull (I guess it'll reach 10k) and hold.

Now , I will upgrade cannons to 32lbs and then will almost beat the average Duchman upgraded ( will have -0.5 speed and around -12 manevrability , but +20 cannons !!! , +1xxx hull strength , +1xxx hold).Definently a ship to keep.Until I will find a better one.
I think that the thing with random ship stats (for quite a range) is a very good thing - makes the game more interesting, I'm can't wait to see the stats of the ships I'm boarding to find an even better one.

I just got the Dutchman for the 1st time - basicly he is lower class ship; the best thing about it is his uniques textures. When capturing it I had to leave my companion in the port or else he would sink it in couple minutes.
