Problem with Alansmithee mods

hi all
just dled the alansmithee mods which include the tatoos, new guns etc.
When i start up the game it plays normally, no problems there
but when i intitialise it the game crashes either straight away or a few minutes later
can anyone help? ive been looking forward to these mods for ages!
 
The best way to enjoy my mods is download them as part of one of Pieter's modpacks, where he's got the code and everything already written in; I take it what you d/l'd was all the various scattered files, which can spell trouble.

But start the game from the modhelper, in the tools folder, with the "generate error report" option selected, then post here the error report it makes after the game crashes.

Sorry about that, by the way... I fear the UN's gonna start making me pay restitution for my buggy mods or something.
 
ive tried Pieter's modpack, doesnt work either.

OK, that makes perfect sense... I didn't realize he must have been loading it from an old game and then `re-init`'ing? Simple fix but I wouldn't have thought of it in a million years... thanks NK.

But it's well worth the trouble, your guns are, and besides there's a number of other things we can do taking advantage of the need to restart.

That said...Actually, I'm not entirely sure that's the _only_ problem you're having, paveyj; there are also the "no memory" errors that I have _no_ idea about. Hmm, actually, they may be due to having quicksaved? IIRC there was a problem with the image for the quicksave, and line 591 is about images I think.

But the other errors may well, in fact, /be/ due to loading an incompatible save; trying to get the index of a character that doesn't exist and then what follows from using said `non-existant` character is what the errors mostly appear to be.

So, paveyj, if you didn't start a new game, try doing that. If it still doesn't work, please post the logs again. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
Yes you would need to start a new game, because I added the disarm attribute to the weapon's mod. Disarming? It's in my modpack, but it doesn't work properly AT ALL yet. Really buggy.
