problem with Bartolomeu o Portugues quest

i am at the end of the magic statue quest..
i am at the hidden beach and have been attacked by natives at the bridge.
after that i go inside that hole and i am back to a jungle part again.. there are 2 ways.. the alcove patch is locked..

i get that locked icon sign when i am near it. the other way is a dead end a invisble wall like thing..

that alcove path is were i need to go right? but why is it locked? are there a quest bug,so there is a script or something i did not get?

any tips? or some help? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o) the last "event were when we got attacked by natives at the bridge. and one of the characters with me said something about it...

One of your officers is supposed to talk to you, after which the "mystic door" kind of thing should open.

well no one of the officers wants to talk to me... and i cant se any mystic like door. the locked path is a jungle road.. so this is a bug or something?

There's supposed to be some sort of door up against the cliffs somewhere. I think it's either Roxanne or Francois who is supposed to talk to you.

Oh... you did get to the fight with the indians on the bridge, didn't you? Did Francois talk to you after that?

yes he did talk to me.. and after that that i entered the cave.
and i came to that cave entrance map. and after that again i went to another jungle area. and it is here i cant get any further. i will try to find this entrance now..

And there's nothing even resembling a door or some sort of other indian structure kind of thing up against the wall?

Normally, the door should (no...MUST <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />) work.

okay maybe there is a door somewhere. i could be me being blind. but i have upraded to 9.5 so how did i fool the game to think it is alpha 9 patch 4 again? i need do this to check if there was a door there

I installed Alpha 9.5 but only Saturday I can confirm the door works on this version.

Btw : Anybody can confirm before Saturday that the door works on Alpha 9.5 ?
