Problem with patch 1.42 and 1.50

I have a very serious problem, I can not install the patch will patch it 1.42 to 1.50 Age of Pirates, just click on the file says: "Age of pirates 1.41 is not installed." While it is installed correctly on the disc C. .. how can we solve this problem?
I have heard that there are also problems regarding the ATI video card, I have one I would not want to be your fault.

You need to install the base game, then 1.50. Its not compatible with any of the other patches.
