Problem with repuation

My reputation crashes to horror of the high seas probably as a result of not paying a loan on time. The problem is that no store owner will deal with me - though I have not checked the pirate islands. Starvation - oddly announced by the mood increasing to elated and then dropping to poor - ensues. My ship is a galleon so bombarding fortresses and ransacking the city they protect is out of the question.

A bandaid solution to this is; that you can capture ships, pirates or merchants and get the wheat and rum off of their ships to keep your crew from starving to death. On an island, in the jungle (the mighty jungle) rescuing maidens seems to be the best way to boost your rep back up, and you get swordplay practice as a bonus. Did you pay off the loanshark? I think that if you don't, then your rep continues to plummet, howver, there are a handful of folks around here who regard that as a good thing. Shore fights? I dont have the game yet so dont make me wander out the plank for not knowing it. Ye should most defenitly buy da game an' play it unmodded first, cos after completing the game unmodded you'll really feel the kick of it once you download the build. It sure be worth da money, lad!! I've had the game since it came out, an I'm still addicted tew it.
