problems selling a ship

well, i have a problem. When i started the game with Peter Blood, at the end of the Plantation Quest, i found a companion right after i killed the 2 ships after leaving the plantation the first time, using the frigate. So i found this guy in the tavern and he came with a ship, a smaller ship than the big Frigate. So i figured i will swap with him and get his ship instead of the frigate, and sell the frigate, and keep him in my crew.. but each time i try and sell the frigate in Martinique, i get the money, my ship disapears, and goes into the shipyard's sales list, and then my money is gone right away and it says i spent it..

I posted a screenshot of that too..

Anyone can help me?

Thats a new one, i can't explain what is couring that. Do you have any mods installed?

judging by the appearance of peter blood, he doesnt have any mods installed.
