I made this thread to give a better look of the progress for making the new locations.
This are only on the 'new towns'

Cuba:

My Charlestown mod is ready;

This mod is compitable with build 14a7. Preferably with my Havana mod (otherwise the Bartolomeu quest will be out of place)
Changes this mod makes:
- Adds a second British port to QC, Charlestown
- adds a British town connected to the British port
- adds a shore to QC, White Bay
- QC, Charlestown and White Bay are now connected with jungle
- Charlestown has: a store, tavern, shipyard (next to the lighthouse) and a townhall.
- Bartelomeu quest adjusted to my new Havana
- Forgotten lighting files of Havana

I've installed you New Havana is quite good just a little problem: the governor's house hasn't the texture (it's completely white, not too bad after all).

What is charlestown?

Charlestown is a new town on Quebradas Costillas, apart from pirate settlement.

you know, i don't think charlestown is in the right place then. it should be north of hispaniola and cuba, for as far as i know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> quite a lot in fact. but that knowledge comes from 'tortuga', so i don't really count on it that much. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

extract it in Pirates of the Caribbean/Resource/textures (really hard not to forget to put a file in a mod, if it uses that many textures.

Where can I find your Charlestown mod? The link seems to be dead. The same goes for La Havana, although that one might already be in Alpha 7.
 
I shall put the charlestown mod later on, on, because I have put some models to the port as well, so it looks more like a port, and I need to make an extra locator, so I can make a landfort for it.

I think all those links are dead, because noone except Pirate_kk downloaded them, so filefront took them off.

(I have another mod ready, which makes all boarding forts from the spanish and portuguese forts with white plaster walls, and all the spanish towns which have landforts look just like them. Here are some screenies:

yes, way better! speaking of forts, how could i put music into the fort location when there's no fighting? there's none there yet.

I have quickly tried out the Santiago, St Marin and La Havana mods and they seem like good work to me. Unfortunately I encountered some missing textures and stuff:

Also I was thinking perhaps we should restore some of CCC's buildings in Marigot and Philipsburg; these ports now seem a bit empty, knowing what used to be there. But other than that: Great job! i'm playing with the idea of drawing a few new loading screens. i have no idea when one of them will be ready, but i'll post it here when it is. i'm thinking of a new boarding screen, for example, or maybe something for a tavern. maybe the pirate tavern or something.

Yes, foam files are missing. To "make" them, one should copy <location_name>.ini and <location_name>.tga.zap files from those new locations are based on. Then, edit <location_name>.ini file and change <i>DepthFile</i> entry into <path_to_new_tga.zap file>\<location_name>.tga

As for those shadow files, I have no idea how they should be made. I'd just copy them from original locations...

The shadow file problem is solved. I had to rename the "lightning" folder "lighting" like you told me to. I forgot. The Philipsburg textures are really missing ingame though.
