quest writing for coas

i would like any information on how to write quests as this will be my own little contribution. but i have no idea how to, i want know where i write them, how i write them, how to add ships, and characters to my quest, also locations and checkpoints.

any help would be great
 
Looks at tools and tutorials where at the one by Short Jack Gold, (NOT me and him) and this will give you some basics

Of course some things are different but there are NO storyline writers working on CoAS

Off the top of my head I can think of at least four or five different files you'll have to modify to create your own quest. There is a lot of code involved which I don't fully understand, but I think the best suggestion I can give is taking an existing quest, copying the code, pasting it, then use that as a template for your own quest.

I'm tempted to try this out myself sometime when I have the time.
 
Is it possible to know witch file is, where the main character start so that way I can make my way up by following the coding? Thought to take a look at it.

Its a random place depending on nationality and such... The only place that is set is Captain Blood
