i downloaded the 1.4 patch and i found a funny thing.I can't speak to anybody,i can push every button i want,but i can't speak to anybody
and also the game still crashes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

try this:
example , C:\Program\1C\Êîðñàðû 3\resource\INI\texts

copy english text into the russian map overwrite russian text with english!

the game is very buggy, lots of spelling errors in files, and missing textures,

in (Êîðñàðû 3) Check , error.log , system.log, compile.log !

also if you want to change your character look for characters_init.c

in C:\Program\1C\Êîðñàðû 3\program\characters

example change name of your char:

makeref(ch,Characters[1]); //Blaze Sharp
ch.name = XI_ConvertString("Blaze");
ch.lastname = XI_ConvertString("Sharp");

To

makeref(ch,Characters[1]); //Blaze Sharp
ch.name = "Black";
ch.lastname = "Beard";

Or change how he or she looks
ch.model = "devlin"; To ch.model = "pirate_9";

Dont forget make backup and save often. pray and wait for a finished english version....

if i capture a colony.Why does everybody hate me then,even the pirates?
nad the guy in isla mona tavern who can fix your relationships with nations,doesn't seem to do anything.He takes the money,but everybody still thinks i'm a bastard

Look for the treasure in the cave "grotto,,?" first.
kill pirate leader with left and right mouse button run around and dont let him hit you 10 in fencing recomended, wait for 2 weeks
talk to captains, after that the relation to the pirates are good,
butt all others are pissed off on you. if you take a colony set a new govenor from your crew,

After battles when you se a padlock on screen push F2 and release one of your officers to assign him for a ship or colony,
its the button to the right for assign captain or govenor

i think he should be good at, leader gunner defence dont now if so..
a officer you hired from isla mona tavern mabey works best,
make sure your colony have money and build it up if you se
fortcrew numbers are unrealistic high and other strange reload and take another colony
in my version nevis is screwed up, and officers on my other ships cant sail the ships. or hit a sitting duck,
also if you have planks on your ships they are starting to build more planks instead of repairing the ship...!

try to take a french colony build a church go in there talk to the priest and pay money to him
"Voila" the french are happy and thery friendly..

what's gave grotto?
and where can i find the pirate leader?

when you have 2 map pieces sail south of guadaloupe check unhabited islands for an anchor place and you find the cave, and some smugglers after that sail to (isla mona "pirates island")
and the rest is floating on....

if you cant read the text in cave the first ansvers is best

the pirate leader is hard to kill so you need to be at a high level

or cheat!

if you push (M) button on your keyboard you se the map of sailing areas in the game

if you type and change your ships name to GodMode
the name dont change but a script is executed
you and your crew and ship will not be hurt only the mast and sails

also on land try holding Ctrl or Alt and move the mouse you could se your character in front..

patch 1.4 doesn't contain any non russian language files.
so you cant speak wuth anybody.

(Ok My mistake)

If you have installed any of these patches before v1.4
you have an english map in C:\Program\1C\Êîðñàðû 3\resource\INI\texts

if not u can open any of these 2 patches with winrar and extract the map "english"
and copy it in to the russian texts map overvrite all...

K3_Patch_10.exe

ini/texts doesn't contains any dialog files anyway.
all dialogs lie here: GAME_DIRECTORY\program\dialogs\LANGUAGE\
