i am on the french gg quest where you have to go to cumana. now it is written in the walkthrough to engage the fort and invade it. But how do you and when can you invade a fort. If i go to the jungle and use to capture a city, they say i have less than 500 men whereas my sqaudron has more than 1000. Pleasse help.

How do i finish this mission please help.

To attack a fort simpley fire at the fort, you will need alot of ammo and gun powder so stock up because it can take a while and alot of resources, you might be best to use a MOW or a class 1 ship perhaps having a 2 or 3 companions will be even better. When you have destroyed enough of the forts guns you will get to enter the fort and kill the remaining gaurds, then you can enter the town and kill the gaurds there.
