The multiplayer is as buggy as the rest of the game. After chasing a ship all over the map you can't sink it. It just stays there on water with 0 hull remaining. Kinda frustrating. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> Also players leave and the in-game screen does not update the status properly. Some games just don't start as they lag badly from the very begining.
I am 13-3 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> and my brother is 8-0 ... but he is way better than me, I try to get him in my team whenever I can.
The whole multiplayer is poorly designed <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsdown.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2dn" border="0" alt="thumbsdown.gif" /> They should have made something along the lines of Railroad Tycoon 3 with chat inside the server game screen. It is also higly unstable; I crashed in all kinds of games, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3... I hope the patch will fix the problems.

It is not that bad...

Ships do sink! They always do... at least here.

And it can be lots of fun to battle 15 ships at the same time... but only if you find a good server. The problem is that almost no one with a good bandwidth seems to be able to host one.

Too bad, because those MP battles can be really joyfull at times.
