Raising your reputation with the Spanish

Ok, in Santiago, you go to the church and you talk to the priest about anything he needs done.

He will tell you that there is a cave that needs to be cleared out ("Grotto") from the undead.

However, when you go there and clear out the skeletons, and then turn in the mission, you can STILL turn in the mission by talking to the priest over and over again... giving you tremendous reputation with the Spanish. All the way to "Admirable". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Just a FYI. :p

I knew that one - it's an exploit for reputation and xp (Leadership) - you can easly gain tens of points at Leadership (so rank and personal perks too) .
It's an exploit - maybe you'll realize you'll break the game and the pleasure of completing it will be gone.

"maybe you'll realize you'll break the game and the pleasure of completing it will be gone."

Well said, and great advise.. thanks <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

.... and yet, the thought of 'not typing a cheat code, and exploiting the game still' in order to get my leadership to 100 easily sounds... piratey <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

Another point... not to argue or anything... is that I STILL have to sit there for 2 hours to do this exploit, the same way I have to fight with storms (expensive reparing, looting dungeons, finding a storm, and more expensive reparing) for a LONG time to get 100 on my Navigation skill <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />.

I don't like to cheat, but if I find a way to easily improve my character skills through something that should have been caught before a game's release, I'll use it to save time, and to:
- give me an edge over a system that throws 5 ships at me, when I can barely afford my one ship
- allow me to hire better officers, fire quicker, and it not affect the game in such a way that I can't still enjoy it.

To me, I like to win in a fight, and not have to save 200 times to complete a quest because game coders decided I couldn't have a fighting chance in hell at getting anything good in the game until a month down the road of scratching my pennies together, and banging my head in frustration at both the game crashes, and the amount of times I have to reload when I die... not even mentioning the sheer complexity of some of the missions!

Case and Point... it's exploiting... it's the pirate thing to do! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

Now that I got that off my chest... anyone know how to get Luck, Cannons, Accuracy, Defense up, besides Trinkets??
