Redmond to Greenford

Azriel

Powder Monkey
Some how I went through the dungeon and got to Redmond from Greenford, now I can not find my way back. I can't find a path or even get back into the dungeon I got there in. It locked behind me. My ships are back there and I can not go forward with the game. It really starting to anger me. Am I missing something or is the Mod gliching. HELP! Before I blow up my machine. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

I am confused by your question. Redmond and Greenford are on two different islands. Greenford is on Oxbay Island and Redmond is on Redmond Island. There is a dungeon on each island, but you cannot (I don't believe) go from one to the other. Which island were you on when you started your trek?

Open file program\console.c
Find lines:
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->    Logit("Executed Console");
}<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

change to:
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->DoQuestReloadToLocation("Greenford_tavern", "Goto", "goto17", "");
}<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

Then load your save and press F12.

That's really a good trick! Redmond's got the first ever "Chunnel"! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Let's hope them darn French do not find them chunnels, though! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

I suppose this bug showed up using PotCMods.zip, right? It might be one of the bugs left in the not-yet-finished enlarged Oxbay mod. Nathan seems to have fixed it, so with the next update, it should be fixed. I hope... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Thanx

I thought I was going insane. Thought I I started on Oxbay, but while playing I had a few ales, I so thought I was sailing while intoxicated.<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Thanx for the location code. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />

Must have been some mighty good rum then! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

If you go from Oxbay to Greenford, or something like that, an easy way to get your ship to the port is by going to the ship-fixer-guy and fixing your ship. That gets your ship in port so you dont have to pass them skellies!

Ah, right, I understand. The way back (from Greenford to Redmond) is if you go right from the shipyard, and run down into the space between the buildings. You are automatically transported back to Redmond.

The way I resolved this issue is I bought a new ship and and left to sail back to Greenford:sail and in further attempts to confuse me when I left the port of Redmond and POOF! I was in the waters off Oxbay :blink:must have been a hell of a party my navagator had becaues I was completely lost <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/beer2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":beer" border="0" alt="beer2.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Yes, it was Oxbay I was trying to storm with my new-game level 1 captain. We never found the entrance and decided to retreat. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

The forts belong to an experimental mod, so it's quite possible that the fortraids are not gamebalanced in the right way <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" /> . Here's more info on he subject:
