Rehims quest HELP!

Seadog

Landlubber
Hi there

i've been chasing Rehims all over the seven sea's and now i've hit a snag. I've just left the tavern at Quebradas Costillas and sailed to Conceicao. I've seen Rehims has a house which i can't enter..i've been to the tavern to talk to the inn keeper and got nothing..i've been to see the Smugglers leader and he asks if skull sent me..All my inquires have lead to nothing..

Do anyone have some advice.

Thank you

have you been in the house yet? in that case, you're supposed to hit a dead end. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> you'll continue it later.

You found the secret entrance at the side of his house but it has the "locked Icon" right?

At that point, read your in-game "Quest log" book.

I beleive it says that you should talk to Beltrop or whatever his name is - the Conceicao smuggler settlement leader. And when I do that, he asks me if ol' Skull sent me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

(I am having the same problem)

What????

Sounds like two quests have gotten merged.

Did you go to Conceico Tavern and talk to barkeep about Reims, then ye meet a bloke outside tavern,he offers to take you to to Beltrop , pay him an you should be teleported to location and be able to talk to Beltrop <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

guys, i have recently played that quest. i've got Build 14 Alpha 2, and so far, what ive done to get through it successfully, is:
1) talk to the Barkeep in the Conceicao TOWN Tavern about Rheims. he claimes he doesn't know, so i ask about Beltrop. he gets scared and doesn't tell you anything useful
2) Talk to the Smuggler outside the Tavern [should start automatically]. he tells you he'll take you to Beltrop, but without weapons. you convince him to let you go with Weapons, and you are teleported to Beltrop's house
3) after talking to Beltrop, who knows Silehard sent you, you end the conversation after he says he wont let you enter the house and will put guards at the door.
4) Go inside the SMUGGLER'S DEN Tavern, and ask to have a room til sundown.
5) go round the SIDE of Rheims' house [the one to your left when you exit the Tavern]. there should be an empty area between the Smuggler's Camp's wooden wall [the equivelant of a town wall]. go towards the wall. you should see a "unlocked" icon appear in the top left corner of the screen. enter, and continue as normal...

i know that many of you have already played it several times and know what your supposed to do. i just decided to make a little checklist while my memory is still holding onto it...

yup, that's the right way to do it.^ <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Ahhh ... cool ... sneaky ...

That way we know that both Seadog and Rico skipped the part of talking to the bartender and asking about Rheims and Beltrop.

Hey there

Thanks to everyone that replied..i managed to work it out. My problem was that i was going to the wrong tavern..i walked all the way to town went in the tavern and thats when it all began rolling again.

I've had one of two problems though i think i should point out..i've had to disable my windows keys, because catching them throws you out of the game and there's not returning back..

Sometimes the game randomly crashes back to the desktop without reason..

I thought it worth mentioning these incase it's of use to the people doing all the programming..

Aside from that i love the game...i recently captured a frigate, which is a ship i'm not high enough to buy from the shipyard. I've outfitted her with 32lb carronades. I'm a big fan of the HMS Surprise so i wanted to make my own in game..its a fine vessel to have in battle i'll tell you that!

Well i'm off to rid the sea's of pirate scum..Present company excluded of course <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Run Config.exe and disable the "Fullscreen mode", but set the resolution to higher than your Windows resolution. The game will now run fullscreen under your Windows resolution. The major difference is that you can Alt+Tab in and out of the game now and can also return after accidentally pressing the Windows button.

Have you got any idea why? When does it happen? What are you doing at the time of the crash?

You do know there is an HMS Suprise model in the game, do you? Search for the "British Frigate".

i think he means the CTD's. they seem to occur mostly near a fort, during the transition to the next hour. specifically: at the point the sail ho screen should appear.

Well the frigate i have..is a pirate design..the copy of the game i bought was second hand and didn't come with a manual so i've been learning the meanings of certain things just by guess work..i think mine has a top speed of 14 knots, but i could be wrong..i'm going to load up and spend an hour before going to bed..

There's only one problem with the British frigate..i can't buy it from the shipyard..i'm apparently not high enough to buy one yet..And as i'm working for the governer and i'm a good two shoe's officer type..i don't go firing at british vessels, just her enemies..which apparently accounts for almos everyone in the game..Boy we English are popular buggers arent we lol

The last crash was just after i'd had a battle with some dutch ships, all of them had shown their colours and i'd captured all three vessels. Was just off the coast of redmond, went in to map mode..reach redmond..pressed space bar and bang!! i'm suddenly in to desktop..

If it will help..i'll keep a record of the crashes and when they happen..

try to figure out more details about the CTD's near forts. those really bug me and therefore i'd really like them to be fixed. they can make bits of the main quest pretty impossible.

Well i'll keep a track of em..i just reinstalled my machine as for Christmas my dad bought me a new PC shuttle case all in black and a socket 754 motherboard for my existing AMD 3000XP chip..It looks bloody brilliant!

OH and after i sent my last message i DID go play the game and what was the first ship i captured of the dutch??? A ruddy English Frigate!!!! YAY

Merry Christmas Everyone!!
