Remapping the cheating keys

I want to try the game out with cheats (I know what you're thinking -- wow first this guy wants to play on arcade mode and that's not enough and now he wants to CHEAT!?) and I'm wondering how I can remap the cheating keys so they're not on the numberpad. I am playing on a laptop that doesn't have a number pad and I don't fancy buying a number pad just for POTC!

I'm looking at the init_pc file but there doesn't seem to be a way to reassign the cheating keys to things like "L" or "K" or period or something. Can someone give me directions on how I might remap these keys?
