English is certainly not my language but, if you go for

"Apprentice, Journeyman, Sea Dog, Swashbuckler"

only Sea Dog has a direct maritime connection?

It would be nice with all 4 in that style, for ex use landlubber which I liked.

Landlubber, ???, Sea Dog, Master/Ancient Mariner

"Swashbuckler" fits with the setting too.

So how about: Landlubber, Mariner, Sea Dog, Swashbuckler?

Just a reminder to cast or change your vote!
The choice is now between:
Apprentice, Journeyman, Sea Dog, Swashbuckler
or
Landlubber, Mariner, Sea Dog, Swashbuckler

The first option just replaces "Adventurer" with "Sea Dogs" and keeps everything else as-is.
The second option uses some more nautically appropriate terms.

The first one means less work, while the second one looks a bit nicer to me.
Either way is fine as far as I'm concerned. :doff

This has been done and will be included in the next update:

As you can see, it became the final "nautical-sounding" set of difficulty names.
Hopefully everybody can live with this because I do NOT intend to change it again.

In testing, please let me know if you find any spot where I failed to replace it. :doff
