Reputation mod idea

Hello pirates!
This is my first post on this forum, but i have been reading the forums for a while. So, about my idea, to make reputation more important:

I think the reputation system should look like this:
- Neutral reputation - > You are unknown, so people threat you this way, and there are no assassins that want's your head, because they don't even heard about you
- Negative (bad) reputation = notoriousity (or what i should call it) - > You are known of your evil side, you got many enemies (assassins want's to kill you), governors don't want to use your help, they just send out of the office. If you have a very bad reputation, like bloody terror, the guards don't even let you into the city (when entering the city some guards come to you, like the coastgurads at the smuggling, and asks you to leave the city immediatly, or they have to use force). If you got even worse reputation, the fort starts to fire at you (lets say all the nations are in war with you). You can only get into town by sneaking in from the back. The guards won't attack you, because they only know your ship, not your face. You can go into the shops and shipyard freely (they don't care about who they dealing with), but the number of assassins is even greater (your life is in danger, when you enter a town). Maybe this could be changed if you take on that hooded cloth (that red one), so the assassins won't see your face, so you won't be attacked. I think the behavior of the assassins could be changed also. They just come to you for some chat (like the bandits, that can be hired as crew) and they ask if you are that captain they have to kill. You can answer no, and if you don't have that bad reputation there is a chance the assassins leave you alone, because they don't really know how you look like.
- Positive (good) reputation - > you are well known to be a helpful, good guy, governors give you tasks, etc, but assassins are still there. So the higher the reputation the more assassins, just like when you got low reputation. People know your name, etc

Well i think i covered everything i was thinking about. I would like to know what you think about all of this.

I like 'em... great ideas. It'd be great to have reputation more important than it currently is. I'm a big fan of more depth and complexity to the game, and reputation would be a great area to look at in this regard. It appears that the Sea Legends team are making great advances with their mod including strong RPG elements.

Sounds like a good idea! I hope somebody will be able to make reputation a much better gameplay part. Right now it's... a bit useless. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
