Researching What Ships are going into POTBS/Join their Forum

I have been looking around the POTBS, and I have just become a member so, and I have found some very interesting things on Ships. So far there are already many ships available in the ship catalog, but I have read they have plans for a Brig and a Large Galleon. I have also noticed that research for this time period is extremely hard, due to most ship information is for the Napoleonic Age. If you know me well, you know that I am trying to do research on the time period of 1650 to 1750. But I have only been using Internet sites. It is obvious to me now that it is going to take more than the Internet than that. So for those who aren’t members yet, join. There is much more information to be gained on the game if you join

Not only are their `write-ups` well researched, they are also very well written; it's easy to suddenly find you've spent an hour reading about all the various history details.

Those guys and gals over at PotBS are sure putting in that little bit of extra effort in every aspect. I'm really looking forward to the game , and after recently getting into the "World of Pirates" I'm even more eager!

I have been doing more looking at the site I joined, and I found that I actualy joined POTBS Community Website. But their Game FAQ is excellent. I learned so much about that game. It seems that it might take a few releases of the game to get all the parts into it. I can't play the game because I don't have the correct internet hookup, but if I could, I would wait until release 3. Each release would come out every one or two months they said. They won't even have avaters until the second release or so. But I suggested reading these FAQs.

Avatars will probably take longer than Release 2, the comment that avatars are for R2 is from long ago when they planned having a release every `4-6` months as a major update with new content.
