Anyone still playing this game ?


I could use a hand...seems I can't log in and have no way to find out why .
 
Hmmm. Just tried to register and it accepted but when I tried to log in it said my login details are incorrect. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Is this the message your getting?
 
Similar..But Even if I ask for a new pass it just says my e-mail doesn't exist .
 
I tried a few months back to register but it wouldn't allow me too. Now I was able to register today but it won't let me play. Must be the same problems they were having back then with the site. Hello Folks

I expect your problems with "Rule the Seas" are sorted now, but if not you might want to try out the game's main competitor - "Pirate Quest"
( www.piratequest.net ).

It's essentially identical to Rule the Seas (in fact I read in their forum that Rule the Seas allegedly ripped off Pirate Quest right down to the actual code - but that's just hearsay, it might be entirely untrue) but in my opinion has a little more character and charm due to various flash animations, interactive maps and the like. They also enforce a ban on offensive language and er, naughty character or ship names as far as they are able - which is laudible since any age is allowed to play. I play it a lot now - especially at work in break times (yes really, only at break times.... mostly...) and find it addictive (and I haven't even got a ship yet....). I just hope the company I work for doesn't put back their game-site filter - which prevented most of my lunchtime surfing for a long time. If they continue not to filter game sites then I will pay for "Respected Pirate" status since it's the kind of thing you play during the day for the long-haul rather than at night when the graphics heavy stuff tends to draw you.

I played Rule the Seas for a while after reading your posts and really enjoyed it, but eventually had the same problem and could no longer log in. I will try again though - if only to see how similar the two games really are. I found that I could not get into Pirate Quest at first because the user name entry accepted spaces but then took them out for the finished character - leading me to believe it had not accepted my registration. Possibly it's a similar problem at Rule the Seas.

Anyway, none of my business really. Hope you get back in and continue to enjoy.

I've been playing it for over 200 days now and had my ups and downs with it! A lot of cheaters and Server problems, not to forget hacking! My Account was hacked at one stage and could not log on for a week. Even so it's a free game it can cost you a lot of money if you want to become a strong pirate! There is some people pooring money into the game it's not funny! I used to have a link in my sig. but took it out for various reasons but will put it back again in the near future! It's running pretty well at the moment! I log in at least once a day here, if you have any queries just post them here or get in touch with ledhed! We're always talking to each other within this game! Cheers
 
What a shame that they hacked the game. The few times I've tried to play I've had problems, but probably just tried it when the server was down. I'll check it out again.
