Russian Translator

I don't know if this is the right place for it, or if there is even any use posting this, but I feel like a leech, downloading the latest build mods, failing to give any sort of feedback or contributing in any way. So then, one day, while browsing through the forums, I came across a few threads, with the posters complaining that the 'russians' are far ahead in the modding scene of AoP and that if one could understand what was being written on their threads/mod documentations, then one could perhaps improve the build mod even more. I offer my perhaps insignificant services to all who need them. If there is any russian text to be translated, give it 'ere, being fluent in both russian and english, I am sure I will be able to translate whatever you throw at me.

Try Bablefish (its Babblefish for me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Really? That's splendid. Myself, although being the closest to the russian border, unfortunately know very little russian.

Basically, the deal with the Russians is that they have the means of creating new models just like Akella (creators of PotC <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ) intended. We on the other hand are forced to use rundabout method, which introduces couple of bugs in the process, and it kinda limits our capabilities <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Tell you what - translate me this:
"Привет,
I thank you for Maya 5.0 you gave us, and I'd like to ask you for ship saved in this format, ready to be exported. It can be any ship. I'm asking for this, because recently I've completed another PotC ship: HMS Interceptor, and I'd like to export it correctly into the .gm format. To do that, I need to learn the proper hierarchy of the locators needed to export the ship correctly.
I think it's the easiest and fastest way to do that."

Think you can do that for us? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The Russians have the actual support of Akella and the Russian modpack for AoP is even being sold in Russia. Apparently they are working on an English translation that will be available for purchase at some point. On the other hand, we have no contact with Akella at all and definitly don't have their support. We do try and make our modpack playable for Russians as well. There are (partly finished) translated Russian dialog files in our modpack.

Yepi, you are more than welcome <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I for my part, have not succeded in communicating with Akella. Their international public relations dept. don´t answer my mails - with your translation skills, I could attend the mails directly to the russian programmers and developers at Akella. Would you do that?

Also, I´ll bet <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10880&hl=" target="_blank">this</a> guy could need a little help translating a game from russian to english..

Sure thing. I can also type in cyrilic fairly proficiently, and will happily translate anything thrown at me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Either send anything that needs translating to yepitheyeti@hotmail.com
Post it here, or just send me an IM and I will be back to you shortly.

I Immigrated to England from Russia, and that is the reason why I know enough russian to confidently speak and write it.

Luckily in this case a commercial translation is being made which will be available for purchase at some point if everything goes well.
