They have an English language forum....Mr Diplomat ..good 'ol Lorly drow ...I can see you fixing us up...and getting the English version of this mod/ expansion released way before third quarter 2007.

Not wanting to burst any bubbles, but this has been around for a long time.

I have wanted and waited for an English translation for almost 2 years, others perhaps even longer.

It isn't going to happen IMHO.

They claim to have an english version being worked on and have an english forum ...for English language gamers..I would assume are already playing it and translating stuff.

Thats why I figured its not old news.

Ledhead, I played this add-on in the days when you probably didn´t know that something like that ever exists. But I can tell you there were some things that I didn´t like too much. And for that reason I abandoned it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
 
I understand its been around for a while...BUT so has the BUILD MOD.

They have been changing it and adding updates....thats why I asked if the English forum had any visitors from here.

I realised a few weeks ago that all these variants of POTC existed.

But I didn't know they where still changing them and adding content.

Hence ..." the RUSSIANS ARE AT IT AGAIN "

From what I understand they are adding this content to AoP and more. And calling it an expansion ..or add on .

I don't know ...I guessed that may be news.

I understand it. But I don´t know if you would like it. No possibility for adjusting anything, terrible difficulty, that drive one mad, strange trajectory of gunshots and so on. I was rather frustrated than entertained myself. But there is really one perfect thing here. Playing dice and cards. Maybe I will try it again someday. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
 
I've already been trying to get some dialogue going on with AlexusB. I've looked at their english forums and they don't seem overly friendly or helpful to english speakers. That may just be due to language barriers though. I certainly don't think its due to any personal malice. I may have a go at speaking with them again though. Just haven't wanted to get too pushy. **grins**

I definitely feel that they've got a heck of a lot of talent and spunk for going out there and doing all the great work they have for PotC and now AOP!

Thanks for all your confidence though. I appreciate being thought of as the PotC/AOP ambassador of goodwill. **winks**

I got linked to that site from a Grand turismo gamming forum.

I had posted something in the " other games " . section..

I hit the link and browsed around for a while.

I went to playlogics site ...there you were...hooked on Pirates..hooked on gammers..hooked on age of pirates..

you make a great ambassador are you kidding !

At the time when I played their Add-on several people communicated very friendly with me including AlexusB. I have quite problems with my installation and they gave me some advices. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
 
What can I say, I'm a pirate geek. Love the age of sail. Love the thought of both the good and the bad pirates and privateers. The thought of sailing on the open sea, with nothing in sight but water and sky. The sound of the rigging, the men bustling about doing their jobs.

Just my kind of time. A time of adventure and mystery.

And another good game I'm definitely hooked on at this point is Voyage Century Online. Absolutely free to play MMOG. Sailing, crafting, fighting & fun. Been playing it non-stop this last week helping with the Alpha test.
Hoping I'll get lucky and make it into the closed beta.

Just had a look on the links... The dice & card games seems very good threw the screenshots, I'd like those to be negociated and added into the Build !
 
i've been a sailing and ship and exploring geek since 1994 and Uncharted waters by Koei.

I put about a thousand hours into Uncharted Waters New Horizons . THE benchmark for an RPG ? action / exploration / sailing /simulation/ trade/ awsome game for all time.


Since then I have been on a constant search for something like it ...and thats led me to Patrician II ..Age of sail..sea dogs ..PTO ..Pto two...crap I think I played port royal but quit because you couldn't sail your own ship...

If you never Played Uncharted Waters ..you are lucky in a way...because you do not know what your missing .
