Second Ship I skinned "Work In Progress"

This is what I allueded to in the other email.

I wanted to create a new Corvette, as they are my favorite ship. I also wanted the idea of a sea serpent undulating in the ocean right near the waterline. This one has turned out really well, but I dont know if Im going to do any more to it or not.

Notice that the coils of the serpent go all the way under the water line. So when the ship heels to at a strong angle, or the waves undlate, the coils are exposed. It really looks much better in person.

Breathtaking design, mate. These <i>have</i> to be added to the new build, either as ships available to all nations, or as "unique" ships like the Xebec Barbarossa. Simply awesome.

i'm going to make a slight change to shipyards so that they have some 'foreign' and some 'individual' ships in stock, so if you add it as an 'individual' ship it should still show up in the imperial shipyards. be a bit rarer though <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />
 
Well this one is not done. Basically I have to decide if I want to keep the serpent Cream coloured, like it is, which is subtle, or whether I want it coloured. Colouring it is not a problem, since I can copy the whole skin as a layer, change the colour on it, drop it under the origonal, and just erase out parts I want in the new colour.

So Ill post it up here in a second when Im done. Ill be happy to include these in the build, but Ill need some help with the code. Who will volunteer to help me?

Ok, WOW that was easy to do.

Here are the choices.

(1) White / Cream like before. This is nice close up but dosent have the contrast at a distance I am looking for.

(2) Red

The red ship would be more agressive in nature and have black sails with the red dragon image on it. (Yet to be made)


(3) Blue

I like this the best, its less agressive, and Ill make white sails with a blue dragon design on it. What do you people think?

i like the top one...
 
I liked the white also. It shows up GREAT close up, but if your far away, you can hardly tell the design is there, part of the way the waterline reflects on the tan and cream of the undboards (Insert correct nautical term here, for example `sub-jib`-`top-gallant`-`spar-cleave`)


Here is the black & red ship with custom sails. Kind of like a welsh corsair.

absolutely not, they're amazing designs, we'd love to have them both!
