Shiny Water

I noticed that in some people's screenshots, the water looks shiny. I was wondering how I'd turn that on with my video card, or if I even can. I have an nVIDIA GeForce 2 MX with 32 MB on board memory.

I doubt you can turn it on. It's called bump mapping and if you graphics card doesn't support it, it won't work. And, judging by the age of your graphics card, it probably won't support bump mapping yet. Usually there's no option for it. It's just on if your GFX card supports it and off when it doesn't. That's how it works for most games. Sometimes there is a bump mapping option, but if your GFX card doesn't support it, you can turn it on, but nothing would happen.

Speaking of the difference graphics cards make, I went from a GForce 5200 to a 6600GT and now I can see little fish in the water as well as the sharks! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

I recall having seen a few schools of tiny weepy fishies! :x Makes you want to drop anchor and pull out the fishing rods. One hell of a fishing boat, though (Practically ANY ship in the game). Ofcourse you could just float about in the emergency life boat thing. I've got a ASUS V9999 128MB btw. It runs an Nvidia 6800GT and was on for €189,- at the time, it should be cheaper now..
