Ship of the Line?

Pirates>Ninjas

Landlubber
Now, I'm sure this has been asked atleast 42 times in the last 76 hours. But, has anyone of you ever seen, or maybe even CAPTURED a Ship of the Line? I have played constantly, but never seen one! I even read some guides, didn't help though... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

This may help.

I've seen and captured one for sure, maybe two. Can't remember and it's been a while since I played. Think it makes a difference what time period and difficulty setting you are playing under. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

The period would make sense, as far as I know, there were no Sips of the Line prior to the 1680s. At least, pictures of the Second Ango- Dutch War (see e.g. at wikipedia) show mostly war galleon- like vessels, and if there were Ships of the Line, they would be primarily used in the home waters than being sent to the Carribean.

With the help of the Ship of the Line Guide at GameFaqs, I managed to summon and capture a SotL, it is now known as SeaWolf, named after my previous ship, named after Jack London's book.
