Ships of Age of Pirates (WIP)

Though I´m not an expert on naval history, I allways think what caravels are doing in a mid XVII century environment...

I looked at them several times . Looks very similer to ships from Sea Dog ( from the graphical look ) but i still liked them .

Can't wait to get my hand on a vette or SOL . <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Looking forward to walking the quarterdeck of that corvette. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

The ships look great.

If you have the possibility to bring your PotC ships to AoP, it become even better. As There will be MP, you can't have too much ships to choose from. Just a pity for me, that there are no real napoleonic ships between them <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> .

Bladerunner

Bravo, alot more "sea dogs" like, wich btw was an excellent game with very accurate models, as are these ships, look very and feel very much like ships one would see at the time <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (17th century)
and far more ships than in PoTC <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

You know what I want to see in AoP? The formidable ships of the Royal Navy... ships washed black, trimmed with yellow ore between the whales, etc. The gaff and boom rigged drivers on the mizzen. The crisp clean sails. You know, like the ships of the Napoleonic era. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> What I would give to command a "seventy-four" flying the broad pendant of commodore! I know how you feel Picard!

I'd like to see ALOT of Napoleonic ship models avaliable for download once AoP is out... Sure, I like these ships, but I need something a bit on the Master & Commander/Hornblower side... LOL

The AoP corvette looks a bit like HMS Rose, which was used for the movie Master and Commander. Unlike HMS Rose the AoP corvette has no quarterdeck though.

Aye, the corvette is a smart match, but I'm talking about all the ships, not just one. I want to see the "seventy-fours" and other ships that would be seen in the RN around 1795-1815

hmmm.. I like more ships from the great pirate gold years <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

So everyone has his preferances. Some like to sail a Spanish Galleon or Dutch Flute other a 74 or 120 Gun Ship of the line.

Those big Napoleonic ships will only make sense for MP-Battles with 8 or more Players. So something completly different from SP-RPG where you will have just one ship.
