Small Request for animation change

Hello everybody, I wanted to ask if its possible to change walking animation for Beatrice Devlin to that used by male character. It will make her walk in very unlady like character but at least it will be faster.
This is kinda importanat for me, can it be done by editing some file or its coded into model?

i think that her walk has already been changed into the one used by the game, and of the proper gender. i'm not entirely sure though.

Im playing alpha 9.5 now and she walks in female fashion, I will say it bluntly: I want her to walk like guy (only walk, runing and rest is ok). I want to take my time while having always run off but her walk spead is just to slow.

Oh BTW: NH is just incredible, great job everyone. And small question are you going to move to modding Age of Pitrates 2?

But Im the one one who use Beatrice model <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> .

EDIT: There is file for Beatrice animation in RESOURCE\animation. I checked it and I think changes should be there but I dont know with one is with, descriptions are completely unreadable.

Maya; but the one person who knows about editing animations is not here for a couple of weeks.
Which Beatrice model do you use? The one with the... charming belly or the other one? Both use a different animation at the moment.

The original Beatrice, but I would like to change the other version too.

BTW: The free spitit of PotC is just unparaled, nothing forces you to do main plot (Nathaniel Hawk storyline) Ive been out for over a year and didnt even bother with going to Jamaica, I do trade missions, with is something new for me, I normaly start working for Portugals (everybody loves Portugal, thats why <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ) and fight pirates.

In her's original view." is the "Beatrice" model; that one still uses the AoP animation.
The PotC-fixed version can be found on the <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?showtopic=10288" target="_blank">PotC Files FTP</a> in the <i>damski62/Fixed Character Models</i> folder.
Please try the "BeatriceA" model ("Beatrice Devlin. In some other clothes.") and check if you do like her walking speed.

The alternative model uses different completely animations, I pretty sure they are standard female animations, the walk speed is equal to male walk speed (ie. they are ok).

So then damski62's file should be able to sort your problem. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

I sorry that I keep making problem, but could you explain what do you mean? Do you mean that I should get a Beatrice model (original view) with standard female animations, but I dont like only walk animation (along with climbing and going down stairs ones).

FUN FACT: I was just asked by merchant in Santiago to escort him to... Santiago <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> . Small mistake but I find it hilarious, imagine how it would sound;

(merchant) - Hello there captain, I would like you to help me, I need escort in my voyage to the port of Santiago, will you help me?
(Beatrice) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> - Well....
(M)- I will pay you 1100 pieces when we get there, please its important.
(B) - Ooooooookay.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
(M) - Thats great, I will tell my crew to get ready to set sails, just tell me when we get to Santiago
(B) - Well... were here.
(M) - Well......uh........ heres your money and thank you for help?
(B) - This is kinda awkward, I think I'll just go.....

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

It'd be easier to just use the PotC-animation version, rather than trying to edit the AoP walk animation. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Ingame as in Tool, AOP character animations are looking much poorer than PotC.

<a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?showtopic=11827&st=20&p=256546&#entry256546" target="_blank">Here</a> is how the other model of Beatrice was changed by Sir Christopher Mings so that she could use PotC animations, if you want to have a look... it doesn't sound very easy to acheive.

You could try to change some values in RESOURCE/animation/new_woman.ani :
in the [walk] section, change 'speed' from 1.5 to 2.0 and 'data = "Walk speed", "0.8"' to 1.2.
That way dark-coat Beatrice will walk a little faster, even with the same animation. You can change the same way [back walk] & [fight walk].

damski62 fixed both Beatrice and BeatriceA to use the PotC animations now; seems to work.
Of course Sir Christopher Mings did that before too, but apparently damski62 improved on that further.
