SMP! The Board Game!??!

Note, it says "Coming 2004" but the news on the home page of the site says March 2005.

I knew there was talk about this a while back. I would assume it's very much like the "German" style boardgames that are starting to make their way to the US - Settlers of Catan and Puerto Rico come to mind.

Puerto Rico is a fantastic game. Settlers is good too, in it's own simple way, but Puerto Rico is just plain amazing. I love that one! I bought the Civilization `board-game` not too long ago. It seemed okay, but the board was just too HUGE, so it couldn't be played anywhere else but on my floor! I admit, I like getting value for money, but this kinda made it impossible for me to play. But then again, we don't have a dining table yet, so I guess when we have that we'll be able to play anytime, anyday. It's hard to play a game like this when you have a `one-year`-old girl running around on the floor. Now the game is just a `dust-collector`.

But I'm looking forward to this. I hope it will have a more useable size, it's better to have the size of the board omewhere inbetween. Instead of using it as a carpet.

I own many of the games from that company and they are pretty good. I hope pirates is good too, but I am very unhappy about them always pushing back the release dates. LOL they can't afford to make a mistake..
