I just have to ask...  What are the 8 games you traded in?
Ok, let's see if I can remember them;
  • - Because of the lack of higher resolutions. Never bothered to look for a fix.
  • <b>Need for Speed: Road Challenge</b> - Because of the lack of higher resolutions. Never bothered to look for a fix.
  • <b>Settlers III</b> - Because no matter how I played, no matter what strategies I used, the computer was unbeatably
overwhelming as soon as on the second map (and I'm no stranger to strategy/empire games) !
  • <b>Dungeon Siege</b> - Because of an unknown error occuring after I upgraded to my Radeon X800XT PE. The world
disappears behind and around the main character briefly into the game. Thus, I'm not able to proceed nor to go
back. Despite `tech-forums` and FAQ:s and patches this problem remains unresolved.
  • <b>Crazy Taxi 1</b> - Dull game after first five minutes due to lack of worlds and no randomization of customers' destinations.
  • <b>Crazy Taxi 3</b> - Gave the title a second chance... shouldn't have !
  • <b>Unreal Tournament 2004</b> - Unused due to already owned copy of it. (The clerc actually took my word for that
    I hadn't used the CD/`Online-Key`.) =)
  • <b>Max Payne</b> - Due to outdated graphics and I've beaten it so many times already. Plus, I have the sequel, so I'll survive.
    • That's what I got rid of (and I still don't regret it). <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

      <b>Duckbeard</b>
      Are you kidding me man ? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
It's in `open-ended` games, where I can set my goals myself, where I can pursue different goals in every `re-run`, that's
      where I really feel that I've accomplished something. If I want a bigger accomplishment, then I'll just set a higher goal ! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

<b>/</b> About half way through the manual now (been watching some TV). The more I read through those `gray-scale` pages,
the more screenshots I see, the more I want to experience this game ! It's like I'm jealous of the manual or something. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
I even bought this little $2 plastic `pirate-toy`-character which will be standing on my center speaker as long as I'm playing this game. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

It's great to read all your inputs ! Pretty soon I'll be documenting my own character's progress and adventures here along
with my own opinions and thoughts for those who are still interested. Only about 13 hours left now before I'll dive into it.
I still have to check `tech-forum` for FSAA solution.

Thanks for your time all of you !

I be not, I hope it turns out to be what you want <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="8)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> If we don't hear from you in the next 2 weeks I'll assume it was too good <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Problem I have with open ended games is I never seem to finish them <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

I know Morrowind, I played that for well near 3 years and did quite the many mods for it. I had Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon and I never finished the quests on any of them lol.

All open ended games I restart quite a bit more than I probably should, but I have great fun with them.

<!--`QuoteBegin-Duckbeard`+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Duckbeard)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->If we don't hear from you in the next 2 weeks I'll assume it was too good  ;)  xD:
Hehe, like I mentioned in an earlier post; visiting a game's forum which I'm currently playing
is pure nature to me. If I'm into a game, I wanna know everything about it (well, except from
`story-spoilers` if we're talking RPG's, FPS's or the like). And the best place to get as much meat
on my legs as I can, that would be dedicated forums ! If I should begin strangerize myself here,
that means that my interest in this game has dropped - but somehow I feel that that is not gonna
happen anytime soon. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

<b>CapnSunk</b>
I'm with you, I didn't finish Morrowind either. I was playing as a standard "fighter" and I kept
to the main storyline of the game. I got very far and became very powerful. As I embarked
upon one of the last (I think) ventures, to go and talk to someone in or around those "ashlands"
or whatever the place is called - that's when things started to go wrong. You see, I couldn't find
the person in question, ran around searching for a couple of hours straight, became bored and
began to slaughter people for loot. Somewhere along this personal vengance with the game's
difficultness to find the people I need to talk to, I must've killed off that very guy. That's about
when I stopped playing that game. Have been wanting to try and play through it as an alchemist
or a wizard maybe, but found it too timeconsuming and difficult to get into all their deep abilities.

<b>/</b><span style='color:purple'>So, anyway, I've just woken up. It's about 07:22 am here. Been reading a few more pages
in the manual and am expecting to finish it during my `bus-ride` back home right after finishing
that paper. It may be an hour earlier than expected if I be quick. Nothing more to say really,
I'm pretty psyched to get home and lay my hands on this piece of software. Been browsing
through the `tech-forum` just last night, been reading about people having troubles with game-
crashes and such, and their solution to `de-activate` the soundcard. But a game with no sound,
I don't want that. Also been checking for any news concerning any patches in the works, but
given up `empty-handed`. I hope my SB Audigy 2 zs or my X800XT PE won't force me to play
without sound, don't think I'll keep playing until a patch is around correcting the issues in that case.

But I'm keeping my hopes up, the game certainly seem to be worth my good faith. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
It's about five hours left now until me gets to see how this game performs and how I feel
about playing it (hopefully). I'll give an update before this european friday has passed.
Well, let's drink to good luck to my playing then, before you all set sail. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
(Don't worry, it's on the tavern !) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> </span>

Don't worry about the bugs till you get one <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

And even then, hopefully it's nothing to truly have to worry about. I've not found any show stoppers yet. Good luck on yer maiden voyage, matey!
