Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest is now officially <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383574/" target="_blank">in production</a>. Two PotC 2 fan posters can be found on <a href="http://www.adangio.com" target="_blank">this site</a>. They look quite cool to me!
There's just one major question that remains: WILL <i>Age of Pirates</i> be renamed <i>Pirate of the Caribbean 2</i> or will it not? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
<span style='color:red'>Edit:</span> Looks like there's already a different game for PotC 2 coming up: <a href="http://xbox.ign.com/articles/605/605171p1.html" target="_blank">http://xbox.ign.com/articles/605/605171p1.html</a>.

Also: I have received the full soundtrack from the movie Cutthroat Island. The movie was a major flop (beats me why; I found it quite a nice pirate movie + it clearly had quite some influence in out dear PC game), but the music is 100% awesome!!! I must once take the time to put some of it in the game. If there is SOME music that needs to be in there, it would be THAT music. Anyone else ever heard it? If not, be sure to seek out some samples on the internet until I put some ingame.
There's also a great track that should be made to play in Alan Smithee's governor's dancing room. It would really fit in there. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Well, Pieter, I think putting CI music into PotC makes it a modding topic! So you're not off-topic at all! Regarding PotC2 - it's only for console and hand-helds. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Maybe with a new game developer and a BIT more time to develop, this game will actually be what they wanted in the first place, but didn't have time to develop...

"Dead Man's Chest"? Bah, reTARted. Did they let George Lucas name it or something? His five-year-old son? I say this because last I heard, it was going to be named "The Treasure of the Abyss," which although a little cheesy is a mite less cliche'.

Anyway thanks for the links Pieter; and I remember liking Cutthroat Island, really into the old SNES game it spawned, but I don't recall the music...

But if they just try a little bit, it'll be a very nice movie anyway. Doubt they can top PotC 1 though; that was easily one of the best movies of recent years (according to me).
LOL! Yes, George Lucus doesn't really come up with the most original movie names for his Star Wars movies, does he? Still, I do really like them. I uploaded an MP3 version of the first track <a href="http://millenniumdock.bravepages.com/storage/others/CutIsl-Track1.mp3" target="_blank">here</a>, so you can hear for yourself that it rocks! Both maps in the posters are from the game... must've been some snagged advanced art for the game. Actually it HAS been out for a while by now hasn't it, released in '03?

Listening to the song now Pieter, it's pretty good. Reminds me of John Williams. ooh hee hee, how about some Jurassic Park music in the game, like if you randomly find yourself washed ashore Isla Nublar? bwa ha ha ha...

Actually I *had* been thinking about resizing the little lizards to make something like dinosours (or dragons).
