I have here some questions and I will be glad if someone answers me:

1:I have only 500 personal gold coins,how do earn more personal money?
2:Below the personal money thingie I have something called "Acres" what is it?It sais that i have 0
3:Is there any way to repair worn items such as pistols and blades?If there is how can i do it?
4:Where do I get some new sails to use with emblems on them?

ummmmm I guess thats all I want to know for now,if I find something else I'll add the post.

1.) You will eventually earn more personal money, your money is part of the money for your crew and goes up if you earn a lot for your crew. I think you get "paid" a small amount each time you pay your officers. You will also earn money if you decide to "divide the plunder" instead of pay your officers a salary.

2.) If you get a "Letter of Marque" from a governor, he will award you acreage (and a reward!) each time you go "pirate hunting" for him and are successful in capturing or sinking the pirate he assigns you to find.

3.) If you are playing Build 12, there is a Blacksmith on Douwesen, in the port. He's just walking around, and looks like the stock Nathaniel Hawk - he will repair dull blades for you, but he cannot fix worn pistols (that's for a future mod!). Just be sure to be equipped with the blade you want him to fix (pick a good one!) and he can upgrade your weapon to "Excellent" for a price.

4.) You can change sails in the F2 menu, with the "Choose Sails" button - in there, make sure you select "Whole Sails" or "Torn Sails" to get the emblems to show up as choices. You can choose colors or emblems or both... Note that to have the emblemed sails to show on your ship, it has to be (I think) a level 2 or above. You cannot put these emblems on your lugger or Xebec &tc... The other options will work for the smaller ships, but not the emblems.

And about he acre thingie,can I get the letter from the English governor before I finnish the Main quest or to take a leter from some other governor?

Oh I have another question that I forgot to post:I have Rum and Weat but when I sail sometimes crew moral drops to 47 more or les and sometimes it rises to 75 is it ok?

Your crew morale is tied to how much wheat and rum you have - and how much you give them. I personally like normal wheat rations, and double rum rations. You have to buy more rum, but that's a small price to pay to have your crew's morale up in the 90's. On boardings, they fight like tigers! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

I don't think you can get a Letter of Marque from Silehard before the main quest is over - you can get one from the new English governor, though.

I found an aztec gold coin on one of the pirate ship I boarded,it gives me
-1 luck,what should I do with it?

You can get one from Silehard. I did, and i'm Knight already, although the main quest is far from over. I just "talked business" with him, and he will say he has a proposition. Then after i sunk the ship he asked you to, i could ask for the letter of marque.
 
Vlad,

You should probably sell the -1 luck coin. Some of the goodies that you find in chests and whatnot will enchance or lower your abilities stats. For example, there is a ring that will increase your luck +1, and there are items that help your cannon stats, fighting stats, boarding stats, etc.

They take affect by you merely having them in your possession. So you night as well sell the negative ones. Another cool thing you can do is give positive items to your officers. If you have an officer that is weak in cannons, give him items that increase this ability. I'm not sure if anyone has done a list of which items increase which stats. You can read the description from the inventory screens to find out.

Thanks for the suggestion but I though this coin is a part of some sort of quest because after all those cursed pirates are after this aztec gold.
 
No, the coin is not part of some quest, it is just unlucky. I think it might have been added as part of the `tie-in` to Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, and maybe if Akella had more time to work on the game, could have been part of a quest, but it has no function other than to decrease your luck by one point. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I don't have any saved games to figure it out, but Kiffer seems to have done it.
 
Yes, it looks like you can, cwineman... I've never played it that way, but perhaps there is a way to deal with Silehard without doing the main quest! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
 
Actually, i was in the middle of the main quest when i did that, i think after the second part. I suddenly realised i could get a letter of marque from Holland, so i decided to go back and see if i could get one from England, and i did.

i also did it, first think i did after saving oxbay from french.
 
God I have a huge problem!!!Gods know why but when I try to reach Conceicao just before reaching it my reputation decrerases from Dashing to Rascal grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> why?anybody knows?The reputation is High but still the reputation drops.

<b>Captn' Vlad, </b>did you take out a loan at a loanshark? If you do not pay that back in time, your reputation suffers greatly.

To help you fix that (if it's too late), go out into the jungle behind a town and rescue some fair maidens from rape gangs. You will be awarded with either a rep boost or some money. You can repeat this to build rep higher by going back and forth into the same area to spawn new incidents.
