Sound Problems

I just got a new sound card to replace my old Turtle Beach card.

The card I got was a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamers card.I downloaded the drivers off the site to update the ones that came with the card.

Now my problem is when I go into sound options in SMP I selected the EAX sound setting and restarted the game.Now my card supports EAX 4.0 Advanced HD so I would expect it to support standard EAX.

But when I go to play the game I lose most of my sound.I have no music,missing alot of the sound effects and such.But when I go into sound options and choose Surround Sound all my sounds work again.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.Please help.

I figured it out.

I had to go into the Creative Media Center EAX controls and turn off all the EAX settings in there for EAX to work in the games. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

These control panels are going to really confuse me on this card.Im not used to having so many settings and panels for one card.
