Spyglasses

I was wondering if I place an officer in charge of a ship, should I equip him with a spy glass or will he perform just the same? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

I thought of that also, but I think it makes no difference because all the spyglass is used for is to identify the ships. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Equip your said officer with all sorts of enhancement goodies - the platinum rock, the diamond, the lucky ring, &tc... Oh and give your other captains storm helmsman abillity!!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" />

I always order my other ships to furl their sails and drift in a storm.
