It's an open world exploration game. First you are stranded on an island in need of materials to build a raft. After that phase you kinda become a pirate hunter and after that treasure hunter through ancient ruins and some mysteries like in indiana jones.
Graphics are basic and sailing unrealistic but still I find 'Salt' quite relaxing, walking through jungles, hopping little caribbean style islands and fighting some pirates and monsters...
Beware though, the enemies are kinda childish and the pirates look like those inflatable clowns for kids... I also do not believe that naval combat is part of this game! You can find abandoned pirate ships and repair them but they do not seem to have cannons and I also haven't seen any manned ships on the OS yet...
