Still crashing at Maifesto

First of all, thanks for a great sight. Having said that, I'm running v11, have tried all the links I've seen here, but am still crashing to desktop when going from the beach to my ship when about to encounter Maifesto. I hit "T", have reinitialized, downloaded Omega driver, tried from an earlier save, turned off coast ships (but they're still there, even though I set the value as per this site), and am still stuck.
HELP!

OK, have you downloaded the latest update to the build? I believe this issue was fixed in that, though not in the base installer.
What you need to do is either download an `updates-only` installer from the build website or use the one you have; run it, point it to your POTC folder, check Online Updates and nothing else, and click install.

That will download the latest update to the build and install it, and you should be good to go.
 
Did that, but it didn't help. Also, since the new driver, the game runs choppy when walking in town. It's better in the store, tavern, etc. Is there a setting I overlooked? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
 
Sorry for the delay. I had a major computer meltdown. I haven't tried to run the game yet. I'll post here if it works or not. Thanks,
