Suggestion for tiny patch which will remove minor annoyance

It is really minor but I guess it is easy to be done and it is "legit" - I mean doesn't change the gameplay but just reduce the annoyng micromanagement:
The companions (and even maybe the Hero) to auto-fix the damaged cannons when there are spare cannons in the cargo hold. Providing the conditions allow it of course (not in the middle of the fight etc)
