SuperMod and character skins

Spontz

I just finished downloading and installing the SuperMod, and the first thing I noticed was that the character models have changed. The male character is much less annoying, but the female character now has this brilliant yellow hair, even though she's still a redhead in the profile pic. Is there any way to get the original models back?

EDIT: On another forum, I found the solution: uninstall everything, reinstall the game, copy the textures, reinstall the SuperMod, put the textures back.

Might anyone have the original character textures preserved somewhere, so that I don't have to turn my hard drive into Swiss cheese to get them? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Never mind... I went ahead and Swiss-cheesed things and did the uninstall/reinstall dance. I had previously installed the no-DVD crack (I purchased the game legally, but I despise StarForce and will not allow it to take up residence on my computer; the existence of the crack is the only reason I didn't immediately return the game), and I thought there's a chance it might mess up the SuperMod somehow.

I would love to know the answer to this. I actually liked the original models....... well it's not just that. I just feel like I can't escape Nathan Hawk now. He's back to haunt me with that terrible goatee/mullet combo!

LOL..... Actually, the original models should still be in there, just the skin for Beatrice changed AFAIK. There should be another thread floating around here about that topic already. Just do a search of the forums, you should find it without too much difficulty.

I actually did do a search and I came up with nothing..... Also, I don't think the original male model is still there b/c I looked and I see to Beatrice models but only one "Devlin".

Blaze is in there as Blaze_N or something like that. Devlin is the actual Devlin model from PotC, Blaze is the original character used in AOP. Look for a .gm and texture that is named Blaze.

Okay, the blaze parts.

In Models/Characters/

You have the following Blaze Models:

Blaze.gm
Blaze_A1.gm
Blaze_A2.gm
Blaze_A3.gm
Blaze_NB.gm
Blaze_NB_A1.gm
Blaze_NB_A2.gm
Blaze_NB_A3.gm

Those should be the blaze models. I think the straight Blaze Models are one version, the Blaze_NB series another version. Cyberops would have to confirm this for me though.

Then for textures:

Well, looking through things, the original texture isn't there. You may want to request that someone post a copy of it. Or else you can try downloading the programs file set from the PA FTP site. I believe thats the modifiable set of files, without anything from SuperMod included in them.

Aye, I just noticed that. Had me directories all mixed up. Silly me. Apologies for the confusion.
