Supermod Update 4

Went thru the Ships_ini.c and all I could find was
a ship called Brig_RN. All the other ones are the
org. ones from AOP 1.41. I had Kazeites New Black Pearl
in there but it has gone since the update 4. Talking about
that update, it is quite unplayable, as mentioned here before.
I'm thinking seriously to go back to update 3 if no fixes will be
posted soon! The Battlescreens are impossible. It goes jerky
and crashes to the desktop every time! Some other settings
work well i.e. resetting of Relations with countries if hostile back
to neutral. Brothel works well, but only did that ones, since it does
not do anything for the game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />
 
I never ever put Petros his ketch up as download, because he said he didnt want me to do that. So i listened. too bad though.
 
Well, the pictures of the new weapons and the royal(british) brig are there. Nicely done. But I had to go back to the previous update as this one it's hardly polished. I appreciate the hard work of all the people involved. After all, we are testing until they manage to do a good job. They help us by creating the mods, we help them by testing their work and sending the feedback.At least this is my point of view.
 
After a few days of trying to get the same rapid fire bug i have been unbale to get it. So i can not fix it until i actually know where the problem comes from, maybe someone that has the problem can help out.

(everything else default game)

Hi Cyberops,

i've got the bug, too.

Status:

- Clean Install of AoP German Version.
- Installed step by Step the Supermod and the Updates till 4.
- Run a new Game.

= got the Bug.

The Error Log shows the following:

RUNTIME ERROR - file: sea_ai\sea.c; line: 1199
Cant create class: lighter
RUNTIME ERROR - file: battle_interface\BattleInterface.c; line: 2318
missed attribute: fastreload
RUNTIME ERROR - file: battle_interface\BattleInterface.c; line: 2318
no rAP data
RUNTIME ERROR - file: interface\game_menu.c; line: 231
process event stack error

the problem with the machine gun cannons is in Modules/sea_ai.dll its (4kb smaller than the original - 180-184)

what i did was install supermod up till update 3 then backed up all the files that update-4 changes then installed 4,
i then when through each folder eliminating each untill i found the exact file thats causing the fault .

so reinstall the mod from the start then back up sea_ai.dll , install update 4 then copy over sea_ai.dll and problem is solved for now!

i havent layed this further than firing the guns just after a new game starts so dont know if there are any other conflicts yet give it a go and see how it works for yous fullahs

thanks to ekim the problem with the Rapid Fire/Exploding Cannons has been solved! Read his post,
follow his advise and all your problems will have gone away!
I've done it and it works! If you have a copy of SEA_AI.DLL from the update3 lying around
somewhere, use it! Otherwise you'll have to follow ekims adwise and reinstall! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

a few crashes to the desktop.However it's not worse than before the update.
Crashes mainly happen from battlescreens and from the map to the battlescreen.

lol...I obviously should have read this forum first. I just did all of that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> At least it didn't take but 20 minutes or so.
 
Can someone give us the file we need to correct the problem?I got the rapid fire bug and it damages my ship anytime I shoot plus I cant reload after shooting.Thanks

This was from 1.41
not the supermod

the posts found the bug in sea_ai.dll

the patch contains sea.dll

So, what was the actual problem?

I'll give it a try and let you know.After all, it's a new engine that you are trying, so problems are inherent in early stages.By the way, good luck with the expansion, Cyberops.
 
Download the update5 again, i accidently placed the wrong update file with it sorry about that it's now fixed and update 5 contains now the sea_ai.dll
