switch between your ships

it would be fun and good if you can switch between the ships in your fleet so you can send the ships were you want to and so they wont sail away or something. is there a possibility to do that. (im not sure but eh... cant you do that in AoP?) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

You can give your own ships orders through the [Enter] menu. Also in the F2>Ship menu there is a ship-to-ship transfer buttong that you can use to swap ships. I think this doesn't work while in a battle though. Except when you sail really close to your other ship and the transfer icon appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Also you need to reload to the worldmap or to land before the tranfer is complete in Build 13. I recall it being immediate in Build 12.1, but I am not sure. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

can there be made a kind of long distance transfer or something for switshing ships?
the orders in the [enter] menu dont work always so good <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

yes but it doesnt work in battles and if your not in a battle the ships are placed somewhere else nearby. but if youre close to a ship and trade then the ships wont change places

You can always sail close to your own ships in battle, that way the transfer icon shows up. But only in theory, as its only the name of your ship that have been switched. I am quite certain, this bug can be traced back to the original game, though.

It used to be possible to swap ships. I think the swap only takes effect after going to worldmap or ashore though.

yes you are right. but if you are close to one of your ships you can swap direct. ow eh... i dont know if you can but if you stretch out the trasfer distance or something, you can only switch with one ship, the closest one. am i right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

ow eh.. what a pity. do you know where ongeveer(hoe zeg je dat in godsnaam in het engels??). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Ehm. It might be in BATTLE_INTERFACE. Or otherwise perhaps SEA_AI?
BTW: You could say "Have you got a general idea where to look?"

ow ok tnx <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

And, of course, you can also ask me questions in Dutch, being Dutch myself, but it is recommended to post in English if you can.

Does PROGRAM\INTERFACE\kam_shiptransfer.c have anything to do with it?
