Question fer ye: I be wavin' a bosuns choice(?) around (the one that looks like the short sabre that be perfect fer combat on a cramped deck) an I be wonderin' if thats the strongest sword around. I think it has somethin' of 26/54 damage or so. I have an atwoods sabre too, but that be weaker than the bosun thing. I'm asking because I dont be likin the way it be lookin on me. I think the Cardinals Guard is the strongest, it has around 90/90 something. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />
 
Aye,der be four stats fer swords, Min/Max damage,Block an Pierce,trick in de game is tew find really good swords, I prefer de Atwood F100,if its not worn ur slightly used, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I found de Cardinals guard wid 85/95 pierce an block after tutoral wid Malcolm at Oxby after search,n de town,dar always appears tew be one good sword if ye look for it . <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

wow, I got a cardinals guard but it only goes to a max of 45 damage or so, the fine quality one... I found an atwood saber once but that one also does less damage than the bosun one. Maybe it has something to do with levels? Im level 43 i think... So skull you say you found the sword lookin' thru oxbay? Like in one of the houses or smething?
 
Your level has to be really good to find these great swords... I ended up turning off the weapons mod because I was so heartily tired to see those rusty old swords for sale at all the shops...

(you can turn off the weapons mod in Build_settings.h - but will have to start a new game for it to work)
 
Aye,the max damage is not very high,but de block an pierce is pretty good,
search yards around buildings ,sometimes its under the pier at Oxbay,this is at beginning of game,I found good swords tew start an thanks fer de tip Catalina,fergot ye could switch that off <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
in the beginning of the game, go up to the tree near the tavern, and you can get a windmill slayer (or something), stronger than any other normal weapon (a bit overpowering for beginners lol)

right now i use.....i can't remember, but it's something like 15/40, with 25 block and 25 pierce (or maybe 31 pierce and 23 block... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" /> )lol <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I'm gonna try all that, I usually find potions an stuff at those spots, But I'll try again! Turning of the weapon mod is easier, sure. But don't it kinda take the fun away? The only bad thing about that mod to my opinion is that if you kill people an they drop swords, those are always damaged or something. Thats too bad! But I kinda dont wanna start a new game cos at my current level is good an my ships an stuff are good an I still have to start the main quests! (never been to redmond yet! not in this game)

I've restart the game for the FB quest, so now i use a pirate model.

Hey Cat, I turned the weapons mod off, an i sure saves alotta time selling all the garbage you get from fallen pirates(bless their souls, they were no match...poor lads) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" />

Downside I think is that I'm now level 6 or so an I already have some o the best swords equipped to me an my officers, an i'm still fightin pirates who only have sabers, so its quite easy to start a nice fortune! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Thar be at least 3 Item spots in Oxbay Port an' at least 4 spots in Oxbay Towne!
