Shouldnt we try to ask Akella to give us proper mod tools for CoAS before its to late and they forget about the game?

What do you mean by "king modding tools"?
We have contact with seaward.ru, who made CoAS and have kindly provided us with a lot of help already.
 
I mean even better modding tools, I should of used different terminology.

The modding tools we have are the one seaward.ru used for making CoAS. What else would you want? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

There probably ISN'T any other modding tools. We just haven't figured out everything about them yet.
ZarethPL can do ships now and dmaksi62 has been doing some great character-work.
But we haven't made any 100% new characters of locations yet, though that should be possible with what we haven.
Still, it's not going to happen until somebody goes and DO it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
 
Currently the Hard Core Edition is NOT translatable. The program folder is not unlocked in the russian version of the game. They use a different copy protections scheme as well, so russian updates and mods are not currently fully compatible with other localized versions of the game.

Would it be possible to ask for the PROGRAM folder of the Hard Core Edition?
 
I've already done exactly that, Pieter. But I haven't yet received a solid response beyond 'They are not compatible game versions' and '1.2.3 Hard Core Edition is for Russian version of the game only'.

But I've put exactly that request up both here and on the Seaward forums.

What problem is there in spreading a modified program folder to people who have the unmodified one anyway?
