I know the Black Pearl cant be captured, but isnt there a way to get it? I've noticed space in the character.init-file that says: ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_NOTUSED_TYPE_NAME;//SHIP_LUGGER; // PS

I've tried to change the "SHIP_LUGGER;" to "SHIP_BLACKPEARL" but it doesnt work. I thought that if you could change the character, why shouldnt you be able to change the ship?

Anyone know how to do it? Any answers appreciated.

Are you playing stock POTC or the build. In the build the blackpearl is boardable!

For stock you need to adjust the Ship.Type in the Blaze section of characters_init.c
For the build open internealsettings.c and change one of the define NEW_SHIP enteries to BlackPearl (put it inside the quotes) and it will be chooseable on game start (For later versions of the build TheBlackPearl can be used to get a more detailed version)
 
im using the build and i made it so i can buy the black pearl but to be fair i made it so that it costs 11 million dollars to get lol

hey have either of you or anyone else for that matter actually made it to the end of the main quest in verison 14.7? cause i keep trying to get the pearl the non cheating way? with the exception of godmode and lots of money. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

anyways everytime i try i get the black screen after the ransack menu thing when assulting greenford fort to save clement.

oi, 'as anyone made a new, more realistic Flying Dutchman? i'd like to 'ave a go at being Davy Jones [i see AWE the game is out now. does that mean we'll have access to the model soon?] and haunt the Caribbean...but im kinda out of date with mods...
 
i'm not sure, but i did see three screens of it. maybe someone's on his way to succesfully putting it in the game.

any chance of you visiting the forum more often any time soon?

Had already one week vacation, NOTHING happened yesterday, even on 16.00 the newest post was from 10.20 AM or something. How do you get the black pearl in Build mod? I mean the purchasing way what do you need to change? And make it so that not everyone has the black pearl?
 
too bad lord nelson isn't here. he'd know what to do. well, i'm sure that you can configure everything in the ships.init file, including the stats. don't tinker with the crew amounts though or the minimum crew. that might screw things up. maybe you can make the black pearl buyable there as well. note: there are two versions of the black pearl, the old one and the new one.
 
I can't even play the game. I get a engine error saying abnormal program termination. Please tell me what to do to help me! I am desperate to play this awesome mod!
 
please, just stick to the proper topic with things and don't spread the same thing over the entire forum all the time. once is enough.
 
That is in the stock game. And also in the very latest Build 14 Alpha versions. It's been reset to it's original value to re-enable the skeletons. In all other versions it is "BlackPearl" for the original Pearl and "theBlackPearl" for the new accurate version by Kazeite.
