The first preview "Wappen von Hamburg"

was that a poke at low texture quality, petros? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Oh, no!
I trust I have not been misunderstood.

That picture I posted is a collection of images from the first remake of Sid Meier's Pirates for the PC back in 1993.
The ship scene represents the ending of the game if the player has achieved the best rank.

I posted this to show that the "Wappen von Hamburg" in either it's first or second incarnation, was the reward presented for the highest achievement, in "Pirates Gold" MicroProse in 1993.

i just couldn't resist. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> anyway, could be a good example.

Follow the links to the stern views of both WAPEN von HAMBURG I and II
You'll see that this must have been the ship the artists of "Pirates Gold" used for inspiration.

well, i've always used rather blurry examples myself for inspiration since i usually couldn't get any better, but anyway, the pictures are a great source.

indeed. decorations are from #II and the green comes from #I. but looking at the colour yo ho ho used, it might be a good idea to follow the lead of the first one, although i like the second better. i think that that ship wasn't the only one with that decoration though.

there is no decoration because its the basic texture. i think Thomas th Terror makes a new when the ship is released. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

this ship can be used as Dutch,German?? and English its neutral.

Full rigged over 150 ropes, 50 straight and 104 other.
And without Lightning Bug, thanx to @ZarethPL for the help with Maya.

Congratulations! And thanks again! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

Very nice work! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Incredible! I especially love the colour of the wood. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Top-notch work, yohoho! Must have taken ages to get the rigging right, but it was worth the effort <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Any pointers which ship you´ll do next? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Regards,
Bava

in the meantime i´m really fast with the TOOL <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
i finish a project with DAMSKI, than a traditional dutch trader for THOMAS THE TERROR and PETER WILLMOES (based on the "Wappen" shape) and than are some weeks gone!

Ohh and some ready models i found in the web will come soon.

That model is gorgeous! I like to get my hands on that one <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
Here is a pic of what I have done with your Seven Provincien:
<img src="http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l68/Thomas_the_Terror/seadogs2_0011.png" border="0" class="linked-image" /> (stern)
<img src="http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l68/Thomas_the_Terror/seadogs2_0015.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />(Spanish Treasure Galleon on the run, I got a whole shipload of gold of his compagnons.)

The only problem with the model is, is that it has the reversed lighting bug. Could you please solve that one? I love this ship <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> It is very good for sinking Spaniards, Englishmen and Frogs alike <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />.

it seems you stumbled over the proper rigging for a galleon. looking magnificent, of course.

@ Takeda
I am not content yet. give me a few days.

@ Thomas
Oh yes. i´m curious on the result.
this seven have i made with 3ds but now i can work with maya and fix this bug.

@ Morgan
i use this drawing for the rigging.

I can't really see your texture-work very well on those images you posted, Thomas. The ship's too small on them to see much. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

fixed the path problem.
what is to do? Add 4 guns create a walkfile/sailorspoints and texture finishing.

changed color, stern overdone.

Still looks great. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />
