There is a pirate mod I just found for Oblivion called "The Golden Crest" which has (at this time) 35 quests where you join the crew of a pirate ship and as you progress you go up in ranks until you become the captain of your own ship. The mod is still being worked on and there will be more quests but you can download and play it now and if you want to follow the mod you can do so at the below forum thread.

PS. This isn't my mod and I have nothing to do with it but I just saw it and thought people here would be interested in it.
 
Thanks gun, I havnt loaded up Oblivion for ages now.

I think I'll keep my eye on the pirate & fishmod though :)
 
just finished playing the Golden Crest

The Bartholomew quest was really annoying - follow that horse, don't be seen and don't get lost --- with road bandits killing the target it was actually hard.

Otherwise it was around 11.5 out of 10

Head, shoulders and torso above any DLC Bethesda has released.

The Savage Island quest series alone makes this mod worthy of re-installing Oblivion just to play.
 
I may need to hunt down that oblivion disk of mine if it's that good.
