The install procedure for all the builds?

I tried to to this myself, but I failed, and that's why I need some help.

The way I did it was:

1) Installed the stock game
2) Installed Build 13 by running build13_final.exe and selecting the installation folder for PotC
3) Installed Build 14_Alpha6. Since this wasn't an exe, I just copied everything that was extracted into
the installation folder, and selected YES TO ALL when overwriting existing files
4) Installed Build 14 Alpha7 by running the Build14A7.exe, and selecting the installation folder

When I tried to run it, I got an internal error message, having something to do with the engine.exe-file. I tried adding the no_cd crack patch, but that didn't work. What did I do wrong?

Can it be that after I have installed onee Build, I have to run the runme.bat before installing another?

you're not supposed to install build 14 alpha 7, actually. at least, it's better if you wouldn't. did you follow the instructions EXACTLY? like running RunMe.bat and Preset.bat at the right time? it would in fact be better if you reinstall, but without build 14 alpha 7.

I couldn't find any instructions, that's the thing... I have un-installed everything now, and installed only the stock game.

Install build 13 final exe, then exec the runme.bat, start the game to see if it works, and then proceed with build 14 alpha 6

How do I install Build 14 Alpha by the way? Just overwriting the existing files in PotC folder?

yup, just to be on the safe side run runme.bat again after you copied all the files over.
