Thanks to the code of Pieter and Pirate_kk I could make this mod. I already skinned a lot of soldiers, so you had soldiers for every period. (You don't have fully armoured conquestadores in the late 18th century do you <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />) But I wasn't really happy with them, so I have redone some of them.
I began on the English:

I hope I can release them very soon. I don't know if I be making another soldier for the Napoleonic Wars (Period the Corsican) I first need an idea to use which model.

It is, it now is more weathered. I like it that way. More realistic than the plain armour of the Stock game.

I'll see if I can find some good reference images for you of American soldiers, sailors and frontiersmen from each relevant time-period for you to work from, Thomas.

Americans are only there after 1770. Thankyou.
I am now working on the french and I have completed 2 of the 5 soldiers (making Napoleonic soldiers too)
 
You know, I can't quite visualise British soldier from XVII century as red-wearing Frenchman, but other than that, I have no complaints <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> You gotta admit though, that this particular model is so... French, and, at least for me, no amount of retexturing is gonna change that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

And, actually, what exactly were English soldiers wearing in 1600-1679? I tried to find some pictures and couldn't <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
You know the Morgan model? If you put that kind of hat on the normal English soldiers it would fit better. And in very early periods they WERE redcoated french men <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Not that they were French, but those French beards and hats and cavalier looks were very populair those days!
