The main Quest with rebuilt 13 when Pirate

I just installed Rebuild 13 final! That an excellent mod!
I begann the adventure
But when I choose to be a Pirate the game start from Quebradas Costillas and I don't know what to do for the main quest. Is it different from the main Quest with the attack of the French fleet? Or ?

Nothing changes, you only start on different island. After going through tutorial you should sail to Redmond and talk to Silehard to initiate the main quest.

Ok so, I have to sail to Redmond! I've learned with this fabulous mod that I can change the colours of my flag as I wish! It's helpfull for exemple to coast to the English ports because I play a Pirate and I have only ennemies!

If the quest doesn't start at Silehard's, you should enter 3D sailing mode near Oxbay for the main quest to start properly.
 
you mean that there is a bug ?

Ok I notice that..

I don't understand why the 3D sailing means and why does it help with this bug but anyway..

It's not a bug, it's intentional that the main quest is triggered only when you visit Oxbay to be able to witness the French invasion.

lol I profite to ask you another question:

I've recently installed the build 13 final and I am happy with it! It change everything in the game!

But do you have another suggestion for me? Is the Build 13 the best ?
 
Build 13 is the latest stable version. We are currently working on Build 14 for which we have several Alpha version. Alpha 6 works pretty well for an Alpha and contains a lot of new features. There is also an Update 2 for Alpha 6 including some more new stuff. You can try those if you like, but take into account that although they might work pretty well, they're not called Alpha for nothing. For download links, check the links in my signature.

All Build mods up to Build 12.1 were compiled by Nathan Kell. I took over from him for Build 13. Don't make the mistake of thinking it's MY work though. Mostly I just put other people's work together and didn't actually do much of my own. Pirate_KK took over from me for Build 14 a year ago, because I had to leave for six months. Now that I'm back, I'm trying to help him as much as I can. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Ok I undestand that this enormous work couldn't come from only one person.

Is there the Flying deutsh with the Build 13 or the main quest leads us to the black pearl ?

you're forgetting, pieter, that directsail isn't in build 13 final yet. though you can of course install it manually. anyway, you're right.

there is, but i don't think it's actually used yet. it's a recolored galleon. a better version is being worked on.
 
What do you mean I'm forgetting that? I am very much aware of that. But we weren't discussing that, were we?

The Flying Dutchman is NOT in Build 13. Also it is the original game's Black Pearl you encounter at the end of the main quest, not Kazeite's actual film model.

i misread your post. i thought you said you should go to the worldmap from oxbay when you start there. that being said, if you HAVE the directsail mod and you've visited oxbay, you should go to the worldmap at least once to trigger the movie and the rest of the quest.

i'm not sure, but i think you can see in the FAQ how you should put the movie version of the black pearl in your game.
 
I d like to have your advice:
Am I foolish to start the game being Pirate or is it playable and not to hard.. because I m in the very begining and it s not too late for me to restart with à nationality colour..?
 
well, you could bribe one of the governors, if you manage to sneak into his mansion without being shot to bits. then you should be with that nation. buying a letter of marque after you've bribed him makes you join that nation completely.
 
Ok thanks! I've also seen in some tavern a Dimplomate man that can offer his services to arrange relationships. But it's too expenssive for me for the moment.
