So there I am saying about how boring i think the X-Box Pirates! will be bland and Dan from Firaxis send me an email regarding the big plus's as to why you want to get it

Every interface screen in the game has been totally redone, with a lot of thought given to usability and making it easy to find what you want. We’ve even added some new things such as a new attack mode toggle (instead of sailing into a ship you want to attack, you enter attack mode and select your target.

Depending on whether you have a telescope or not, you get varying degrees of information about your target), and an all-new overlay map that you can toggle on and off, which shows your current position on the map in real-time while you sail around.

The game itself has been streamlined, in the sense that we sped things up (sailing is faster, the map was shrunk so it takes less time to get from point A to point B), as well as optimizing the screens so that, for example, you can get out of the plunder screen in one or two button presses, and so on.

A new quest system in which the Mysterious Stranger gives you specific tasks to complete, leading up to the location of Montalban’s hideout.

And thats just the tip of it, Read More to get the rest of the extra's. And we have also found out that the copy to be show at E3 is 99.5% done so you can expect to see it real soon after the event!

Expect a full review of the X-Box Pirates! here as soon as William gets back from E3

OK enough of the chit-chat back with the list of additions to the X-Box Pirates!

There’s a new minigame called “Even the Odds” that you get to play if you attempt to board a ship and are heavily outnumbered. This takes the form of a series of button patterns you have to match quickly before time runs out, and the faster you complete the patterns, the more enemy crew you take out. There are some really fantastic new animation sequences that accompany this minigame, such as a sequence where Incognito starts out atop the yardarm of the enemy ship, thrusts his sword into the sail, and attempts to slash his way down in swashbucklery fashion.

Town sneak is now a ¾ action view, so you can’t see what’s around every corner. The guards are more aggressive and can actually run after you, and if one catches you, you have an opportunity to knock him out by mashing the (A) button as fast as you can.

The new Vs. multiplayer ship battles, which everyone we’ve shown them to can’t stop playing. Up to 4 players on one Xbox can blast and crash each other into oblivion, while collecting the 9 different powerups.

Bonus unlockable content, in which you earn “Bonus Doubloons” for accomplishing difficult tasks (such as sinking 100 ships). The bonus gallery contains over 200 items, including concept art, behind the scenes videos, and other cool stuff.

Plus there are lots more additions and improvements aswell as supporting stats and downloadable content for Xbox live (but *not* Live or system link multiplayer, as some previews have erroneously reported).

Looking good if your an X-Box owner i say!
